The National Government, under President Ruto's vision, is executing major road upgrades in Homa Bay Town, transforming it into a modern lakeside hub. Projects include KeNHA's B2 Road enhancement, widening and adding walkways, and upgrading nearly all town roads to bitumen standards, promising eased mobility and economic uplift.

The urban landscape of Homa Bay Town is currently undergoing a monumental transformation, thanks to the significant investments in road infrastructure spearheaded by the National Government.

Driven by the strategic goodwill and vision articulated by H.E. President William Samoei Ruto, this infrastructural focus is designed to reposition the town as a modernized, well-connected regional hub.

At the forefront of this effort is the Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA), which is diligently executing the capacity enhancement of the vital Got Rabuor-Homa Bay Pier-Corner Kodoyo (B2) Road. This is not simply a resurfacing effort; it is a holistic improvement designed for long-term impact.

The project scope involves a critical widening of the carriageway to manage increased traffic volumes efficiently. Crucially, the works also include improving the foundational murram layer, ensuring the road’s longevity and resilience.

Furthermore, in a nod to non-motorized transport, dedicated pedestrian walkways are being installed to drastically improve accessibility and bolster safety for those walking, cycling, and accessing the town's core services.

In a complementary move that promises to revolutionize daily life within the town, an extensive upgrading of Homa Bay Town Roads to bitumen standards is simultaneously underway.

This phase is characterized by its broad reach, with nearly all the inroads and feeder paths within the town limits receiving the high-quality bitumen treatment. This move directly addresses the internal mobility challenges previously faced by residents.

The overarching goal of upgrading these internal arteries is multifaceted: to substantially ease mobility and decongest the town, while simultaneously opening up strategically vital business spaces that were previously underserved or inaccessible due to poor road conditions.

This systematic and comprehensive infrastructure delivery, which ensures quality and connectivity across multiple fronts, serves as a tangible demonstration of the government’s commitment to service delivery, reinforcing the campaign promise encapsulated by the rallying call, #DeliveringThePlan.
