The ten-day nationwide public participation exercise seeking citizen views on proposed changes to the Public Private Partnerships legal and regulatory framework has officially concluded.
This extensive forum provided an avenue for diverse stakeholders to give feedback and make recommendations.
These contributions inform the proposed Public Private Partnerships (Amendment) Bill, 2026, the Draft Public Private Partnerships (General) Regulations, 2026, and the Draft Public Private Partnerships (Project Management) Regulations, 2026.
The Public Private Partnerships Directorate extends appreciation to all stakeholders across the country who participated in the exercise.
Officials noted that public input remains essential for shaping robust regulatory frameworks. Such engagement ensures that future infrastructure projects align closely with national economic objectives and public interests.

The next phase involves reviewing and considering all stakeholder submissions gathered during the nationwide tour.
Relevant proposals will be integrated into the draft legal instruments before finalization. Subsequently, the revised Bill and Regulations will go to Parliament for consideration and approval.
Stakeholders who wished to make final representations or submit memoranda were encouraged to do so via email by the close of business on July 29, 2026.
This deadline marked the formal closure of the active collection phase. Attention now shifts toward legislative review and parliamentary debate.
