Kenya Railways and Communications Authority Invite Applications for Open Positions

Kenya Railways and the Communications Authority of Kenya (CA) have opened fresh recruitment drives for managerial and driver positions, with applications for both closing on Monday, August 24, 2026.

Kenya Railways is recruiting for two senior roles: a Human Resource Manager at Grade RG 3, a re-advertised position, and a Communications and Public Affairs Manager, also at Grade RG 3, a newly opened vacancy. Both positions are open to Kenyan citizens only.

Applicants must submit a signed application letter and a detailed CV listing current and previous employers, positions held, education level, current and expected salary, notice period and at least three professional referees, alongside copies of academic and professional certificates and a national identity card or passport.

Kenya Railways warned candidates against submitting false information or fake academic documents, and cautioned job seekers to remain alert to fraudsters soliciting money using the corporation's name. Successful applicants will need to present Chapter Six compliance documents, including a Certificate of Good Conduct, HELB clearance, KRA tax compliance certificate, EACC clearance and a CRB report.

Applications must be submitted through the job link on the Kenya Railways website, as hard copies will not be considered, and candidates must clearly indicate the position and vacancy reference number. Any form of canvassing will lead to automatic disqualification.

Separately, the Communications Authority is recruiting seven Driver III officers on a fixed-term contract of two years, renewable once for a further year subject to satisfactory performance. The drivers will be deployed to the authority's headquarters and regional offices to support ongoing projects nationwide.

Applicants must hold a KCSE mean grade of D plain or its equivalent, at least two years of driving experience, a valid category D2 licence with no current endorsements, and a clean driving record for the past two years. Candidates must also have passed the Driver Grade III suitability test and hold a first-aid certificate from a recognised institution.

Experience in long-distance driving, operating vehicles across diverse terrains and a valid defensive driving certificate will count as an added advantage. Applications require a signed cover letter, detailed CV with three referee contacts, a copy of the national ID and relevant academic and professional certificates, submitted through the authority's application link before 5 p.m. on August 24.
