Kusema na Kutenda! Nanyuki’s Affordable Housing Success Story

The Nanyuki Affordable Housing Project in Laikipia East Constituency, Laikipia County, exemplifies the Kenyan government's commitment to its Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA).

Initiated in January 2024, the project's first phase, comprising 200 modern housing units, was completed in under two years, showcasing remarkable efficiency.

The housing mix-60 studios, 20 one-bedroom, 100 two-bedroom, and 20 three-bedroom units- all cater to diverse income levels, promoting inclusivity and addressing the housing needs of Nanyuki’s growing population.

The project has transformed Nanyuki, a regional economic hub driven by tourism, trade, and services, by providing affordable, high-quality homes near employment centers.

Building on the demonstrable success of the initial development, the government is already prepared to commence Phase Two of the Nanyuki Affordable Housing Project very shortly.
