President Ruto Launches Major Road Works Along Mogondo-Soit Corridor

President William Ruto has launched the upgrading to bitumen standard of the 18-kilometre Mogondo–Cheramgoi–Mogor–Soit Road in Narok County, a project expected to improve movement for residents and businesses along the corridor.

The road serves communities in areas where transport has often depended on earth and gravel roads. During rainy periods, some sections can become difficult to use, affecting the movement of people, farm produce and other goods. The upgrade will provide a paved road along the 18-kilometre route.

The project is also expected to improve access to schools and other public facilities. Students, teachers and other residents who rely on the road for daily travel will have a more reliable route, while emergency and public service vehicles will also have better access to communities along the corridor.
