The Architectural Association of Kenya is calling on student and graduate members to submit logo designs for its 2026 Annual Convention, with cash prizes and official recognition up for grabs.

The Architectural Association of Kenya has opened a logo design competition for its 2026 Annual Convention, inviting student and graduate members to submit creative entries before the 11th of April deadline.

The convention, scheduled for September 2026, will be held under the theme "Shifting the Built Environment from Fragility to Resilience." The winning logo will serve as the official visual identity for the event and will appear across all promotional materials and event communications.

Submissions are expected to reflect the convention theme and account for all eight AAK chapters. Designers are also required to accompany their logos with a presentation of product renders, giving the selection panel a fuller picture of how each concept is intended to work in practice.

Each participant may submit up to three entries.

Prizes are structured to reward both the top submission and two standout entries. The winner takes home KSh 25,000, official recognition, and a registration slot to the AAK Annual Convention 2026. Two honorary mentions will each receive KSh 10,000 and convention registration.

The competition is open exclusively to AAK student and graduate members. Entries must be submitted through the official Microsoft Forms link provided by the association before the deadline of 11th April 2026.

For architects in training and recent graduates, the contest offers more than prize money. Having a logo selected as the official identity of a national professional convention carries real weight in a portfolio, particularly one tied to a theme as topical as resilience in the built environment.

Kenya's construction and design sectors have faced growing conversations around climate adaptation, structural durability, and urban planning under stress. A convention themed around shifting from fragility to resilience sits squarely in that conversation, and the logo chosen to represent it will be seen by professionals across the industry throughout the year.

Interested members can submit their designs by filling out the form at the link as shared by AAK. https://forms.cloud.microsoft/r/vP2UC2BkSa

Good luck!
