Tech Giants Launch Open Secure AI Alliance to Safeguard Critical Infrastructure

A group of major technology and cybersecurity companies launched a joint initiative to build open tools designed to defend critical infrastructure and software against cyber threats.

The group, called the Open Secure AI Alliance (OSAA), includes Nvidia Corporation, Microsoft Corporation, SpaceX, and dozens of other firms.

The coalition focuses on developing open-source defensive tools, evaluation frameworks, and shared security practices to protect software, artificial intelligence (AI) agents, and digital networks.

Tech firms created the alliance to address security limitations in closed software environments.

By collaborating on inspectable, multi-vendor defensive toolsets, participating organizations aim to improve consistency across deployment environments without relying on single-vendor systems.

According to alliance representatives, the initiative promotes an end-to-end security approach covering identity, governance, and secure development practices.

The objective is to establish open technology standards that help security teams audit, test, and protect critical systems against evolving operational risks.
