Kasemeni Police Station Upgraded to Secure Major Infrastructure Project

State Department for Internal Security and National Administration (SDISNA) has completed extensive modernization works at Kasemeni Police Post in Kinango Sub-County, Kwale County.

The structural facelift forms a core element of the local community-support framework attached to the ongoing Mwache Multipurpose Dam project.

Security authorities commissioned the upgraded station to enhance physical surveillance and safeguard critical water infrastructure assets across the surrounding catchment area.

Contractors delivered a newly constructed administration block designed to handle public inquiries and operational duties, along with dedicated residential units for staff.

The living quarters comprise 14 bedsitters and two single-bedroom housing units, built to improve overall living conditions for station personnel deployed to the region.

The modernized station will house law enforcement teams tasked with strengthening security around the dam works, while supporting broader civil policing initiatives for residents in the immediate vicinity.

The broader Mwache project remains a key strategic effort to expand water resource capacity in coastal Kenya. Security upgrades along the periphery aim to protect material logistics, equipment depots, and site personnel during civil engineering activities.

Government authorities anticipate that better facility design will directly improve daily response times, service delivery, and public interaction, while securing key investments in rural Kwale County.
