Kura Boss Battles Sh5.2m Claim by Social Media Account Manager

The Kenya Urban Roads Authority (KURA) Director-General, Silas Kinoti, is facing a Sh5.2 million court claim over the management of his X (formerly Twitter) account and related digital services, according to a report by Joseph Wangui.

The suit stems from disputed payment demands linked to social media services provided for the urban roads chief.

The claimant maintains that the agreed terms for managing the online profile were not honored.

The Kenya Urban Roads Authority (KURA) is an autonomous agency responsible for the management, development, rehabilitation, and maintenance of all public roads in cities and major municipalities in Kenya.

Under current leadership, the state agency oversees major urban road infrastructure projects across the country.

The legal battle comes at a time when public infrastructure executives face heightened public scrutiny over digital communication and public relations operations. The matter is currently before the courts for determination.
