The National Construction Authority has invited applications for 60 professional apprenticeship vacancies across 14 departments, offering diploma holders 12 months of practical, hands-on workplace experience.

The National Construction Authority (NCA) has launched a fresh recruitment drive, aiming to bring 60 young professionals into its ranks through a structured apprenticeship initiative.

According to an official employment notice, the state-backed regulator is targeting diploma holders from various professional backgrounds, offering a maximum engagement period of 12 months.

The program focuses heavily on field operations, with regional offices across the country taking the largest single chunk of the talent pool, securing 25 of the available slots.

Candidates deployed to these regional stations, as well as those assigned to liaison offices, registration and compliance, research, and capacity-building divisions, must hold diplomas in quantity surveying, engineering, architecture, or construction management.

For the research and training units, qualifications in statistics and mathematics are also accepted.

The recruitment drive is not limited to technical field personnel alone.

The authority has allocated one slot to its internal audit department and two to the finance and accounts desk, requiring applicants to hold a diploma with accounting options, or certified public accountant qualifications.

The administration and human resource departments will each absorb three apprentices, while the corporate communications, supply chain management, and planning and quality assurance teams are looking for two individuals each.

Legal and information communication technology units are also part of the intake, taking one and three apprentices respectively.

Executive Director Eng. Maurice Akech, who also serves as the registrar of contractors, indicated that the overarching aim is providing practical, real-world work experience to prepare candidates for the job market.

Successful applicants will receive a monthly stipend guided by the authority's approved internal policies.

Interested individuals must submit their paperwork online through the official recruitment portal before the application window closes on June 10, 2026, at 5:00 PM.

The notice specifies that the institution operates as an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and gender equality, and further encourages individuals living with disabilities to apply.

Company policy dictates that any attempts at canvassing will cause immediate disqualification from the selection process.
