Roads CS Visits KETRACO Booth at ACEK Conference

Cabinet Secretary for Roads and Transport Davis Chirchir on Wednesday visited the Kenya Electricity Transmission Company booth at the 5th Annual Conference of the Association of Consulting Engineers of Kenya. The event is running from 12 to 14 August 2026.

KETRACO engineer Timothy Murithi briefed the Cabinet Secretary on the company’s mandate. He outlined key achievements and strategic investments in Kenya’s transmission infrastructure.

These include the National System Control Centre and STATCOM technology for enhanced grid stability. Strategic projects such as the Kisumu–Kakamega–Musaga 220kV transmission line also featured in the discussion.
