The 11th edition of CTW Kenya will bring Chinese and Kenyan businesses together for three days of exhibitions and networking in Nairobi later this month.

Organisers have confirmed that China Trade Week Kenya 2026 will take place from 22 to 24 July at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre in Nairobi.

Now in its 11th year, the business-to-business and business-to-government exhibition is organised by MIE Events FZCO. It aims to connect Chinese exporters with Kenyan buyers across several sectors.

Kenya's services sector continues to drive economic growth. Exports reached USD13.85 billion (KSh1.8 trillion) in 2022 while imports stood at USD11.82 billion (KSh1.5 trillion). Tourism, transport, finance and insurance remain key contributors.

The event coincides with Kenya's efforts to expand international trade partnerships. A recent free trade agreement with the European Union targets non-oil bilateral trade of up to USD100 billion (KSh12.9 trillion) over the next five years.

Exhibitors at CTW Kenya are organised around four key sectors. These are smart home products, electronic consumer goods, small household appliances and daily necessities, giving visiting buyers a broad spread of Chinese-manufactured goods to assess.

Exhibitors can expect direct meetings with potential clients and government representatives. The format supports both business-to-business and business-to-government engagements across the three-day programme.

CTW Kenya runs alongside three co-located shows this year. The Africa Technology Show returns for its sixth edition, alongside the fourth Africa Build Show Kenya and the third MEGAWATT Africa event.

Africa Build Show Kenya carries particular relevance for the construction sector, bringing building materials, equipment and construction technology exhibitors into the same venue as the wider trade event. MEGAWATT Africa focuses on the energy sector, covering power generation and distribution technologies.

Running all four events under one roof is intended to widen networking opportunities, allowing visitors interested in construction or energy to engage with exhibitors from adjacent sectors without attending separate events.

Rhenus Logistics is listed as the event's strategic partner, with the International Trade Council serving as honorary supporting partner. Several international trade publications are listed among the event's media partners.

Past editions have facilitated deal flow and long-term partnerships between Chinese suppliers and African markets, according to organisers. The 2026 edition marks a decade of the event's presence in Kenya.

Visitors and prospective speakers can register through the event's official website. The gathering is expected to draw participants from multiple countries seeking new trade avenues in Kenya and the wider East African market.

China remains one of Kenya's major trading partners. Events such as CTW Kenya are positioned by organisers as a structured environment for deepening those commercial relationships further.
