Cabinet Secretaries Kipchumba Murkomen and Davis Chirchir have made key board appointments across state corporations, according to the latest official Gazette notice published in August 2026.
The changes affect several state corporations, with the ministers appointing new members to serve on the boards of the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) and the Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS).
Under the changes made by Roads and Transport Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen, new members have been brought on board at the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) to support executive management and policy direction.
At the same time, Tourism and Wildlife Cabinet Secretary Davis Chirchir gazetted appointments to the board of the Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS), filling vacancies to guide the agency's operational strategies.
The appointments come as part of ongoing government efforts to align leadership across state entities with current public service goals and sectoral priorities.
According to the official gazette notices signed by both cabinet ministers, the new appointees will serve for a specified term as provided by the relevant legal statutes governing each authority.
The updates in leadership at the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) are expected to strengthen administrative oversight over road safety programs, vehicle inspection, and transport licensing across the country.
Meanwhile, the fresh appointments to the Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) board aim to reinforce governance, conservation policies, and management of national parks and protected areas.
