Mass production begins for a full-size ultra-bionic companion robot designed to recognize over 20 distinct human emotional states.

Robotics manufacturer UBTech has introduced the UWORLD U1, a full-size humanoid robot featuring an advanced emotion-aware Artificial Intelligence (AI) model. The new hardware line is designed for long-term companion applications and has entered mass production.

The bionic android incorporates 88 degrees of freedom across its mechanical skeleton, which allows for complex, multi-axis physical movements. According to technical data released by the developers, the integrated biomimetic AI enables the system to recognize over 20 distinct human emotional states with a verified 90 percent accuracy rate.

The system relies on an emotion-aware Large Language Model (LLM) configuration tailored for real-world deployment in domestic and social environments. This software architecture allows the humanoid platform to analyze facial expressions, vocal inflections, and contextual language cues to adjust its responses based on the detected mood of the user.

By combining physical mobility with psychological recognition, the firm intends to position the platform as a commercial social companion. The structural design and high degrees of freedom allow the machine to mimic realistic human posture and interactive gestures during conversation.

Mass production of the UWORLD U1 signifies a push to scale humanoid hardware out of purely research environments and into the consumer market. UBTech is focusing its initial deployment on long-term companionship roles, where the robot can interact continuously within a household.
