Top 10 suppliers take 61 percent of Sh217 billion Kenya tenders

Government procurement records show Kenya awarded Sh217 billion in reported state tenders during the financial period leading up to June 2025.

A major share of these public contracts remained concentrated among a few primary vendors. The top 10 suppliers secured a combined total of Sh132 billion, which accounts for 61 percent of the overall procurement budget awarded during the period.

Linzi Finco Limited Liability Partnership (LLP) received the largest allocation, securing state contracts valued at Sh43 billion. Sinohydro Corporation (Sinohydro) recorded the second highest share with Sh24 billion, followed by China Communications Construction Company (CCCC) at Sh17 billion.

Local and international firms formed the remainder of the leading procurement awardees across various public projects. Shyam General Merchants secured Sh10 billion in government tenders, while Miliki Development Company received Sh8 billion.

Stecol Corporation (Stecol) was awarded state contracts worth Sh8 billion. Landmark Holdings Limited (Landmark) and Jiangxi Construction Engineering Corporation (Jiangxi) each secured contract allocations valued at Sh6 billion.

Chaju Builders also received tenders totaling Sh6 billion, while Victoria Engineering completed the list of top suppliers with awards valued at Sh4 billion.

The total listed awards demonstrate the distribution of state procurement resources among major contractors.
