The United States Air Force (USAF) has published the first pictures of the VC-25B Bridge presidential aircraft.

This development follows the arrival of the heavily modified executive platform for commissioning flights. The aircraft is a heavily modified variant of a Boeing 747-8I Boeing Business Jet (BBJ).

The Qatari Royal Family donated the airframe to the United States for use as Air Force One by President Donald J. Trump. It has now arrived to begin specialized flights with the Presidential Airlift Group (PAG).

The unit, also known as the 89th Airlift Wing, is based out of Joint Base Andrews in Maryland. The freshly released hangar images show the modified wide-body aircraft sporting a distinctive red, white, and blue livery.

A deep blue tone covers the lower half of the fuselage and the engine nacelles. A crisp red cheatline separates the dark lower section from the polished white top of the aircraft.

The words "United States of America" are painted clearly across the upper fuselage section. The presidential seal is visible near the forward main boarding door.

A large American flag hangs directly above the aircraft from the rafters of the facility. The Boeing 747-8I platform will provide critical operational support for executive transport requirements.

The commissioning flights represent the final phase of evaluation before the jet enters active service. These flight profiles allow crews to test onboard communication and defensive systems under real-world conditions.

The introduction of the bridge aircraft helps bridge the gap left by delays in the primary replacement program. The standard replacement process for the aging VC-25A fleet has faced ongoing supply chain challenges.

This interim solution ensures that the executive branch maintains reliable, long-range transport capabilities worldwide. The 89th Airlift Wing will manage all ongoing maintenance and flight operations for the new addition.
