Once complete, the redeveloped complex will feature a modern convention centre anchored by an 11,000-seat auditorium. Additional facilities will include multiple breakout meeting rooms. A high-security presidential pavilion is designed to host heads of state.
Integrated hospitality, retail and recreational amenities will support the main venues. The main building structure consists of a substantial multi-storey concrete frame. An extensive metal roofing system is now being installed across its large footprint.
Tower cranes positioned around the perimeter facilitate lifting and placement of heavy roofing materials. Structural components receive careful handling during the current phase. Finishing works are also in progress on internal elements as the project advances.

The construction phase is already generating employment for hundreds of workers on site. The activity is supporting related sectors including materials supply, transport and specialised on-site services. Economic stimulation reaches construction, hospitality and service areas.
The State Department for Internal Security and National Administration contributes through inter-agency coordination. It is developing security and protocol arrangements needed for high-level gatherings. These preparations suit a venue expected to host major international events.
Bomas of Kenya has long served as both a cultural centre showcasing traditional homesteads. It has hosted national events over many years. The current redevelopment modernises the facilities while maintaining that heritage element.
The scale of the complex reflects its intended role in hosting major gatherings that require significant seating capacity. The auditorium size and supporting infrastructure match the ambitions for the MICE sector in Nairobi.
