The Kenya Urban Roads Authority is recruiting for various positions including engineering directors and road inspectors, with applications for the three year contract roles closing on February 2, 2026.

The Kenya Urban Roads Authority has announced a recruitment drive to fill several key technical and administrative positions under three-year contract terms. The state corporation, which operates under the Ministry of Roads and Transport, is seeking to strengthen its workforce across its engineering and corporate service departments.

Among the senior roles advertised is the position of Director of Engineering, with two vacancies available at job grade two. The authority is also looking to hire 14 individuals for the Engineer II position at grade eight. Technical support roles include four vacancies for Assistant Inspector Roads III at grade nine.

Beyond the engineering department, the recruitment covers four Finance and Accounts Officer II positions and four Assistant Office Administrator III roles. The authority also intends to hire five drivers to join its fleet. All positions are subject to the specific job grades and reference numbers outlined in the official vacancy notice.

Prospective candidates must download the mandatory application form from the official website and submit it alongside certified copies of academic certificates, transcripts, and curriculum vitae. The agency has specified that applications should be addressed to the Director General and delivered to the administration department at Barabara Plaza in Nairobi.

Successful applicants will be required to meet the leadership and integrity standards defined in Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya. This includes providing clearance certificates from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission, the Kenya Revenue Authority, and the Higher Education Loans Board. Documentation from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations and a Credit Reference Bureau is also mandatory.

The deadline for the submission of all applications is February 2, 2026, at 5:00 pm East African Time. The authority stated that it does not charge any fees during the recruitment process, and only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for further engagement.
