The National Construction Authority announced an intensive regional training schedule for builders and safety supervisors, highlighting updated enforcement measures on environmental compliance and technical capacity.

The National Construction Authority (NCA) has finalized arrangements to host a series of regulatory compliance and technical training workshops in Nyeri County, targeting site workers, supervisors, safety managers, and building contractors.

According to an official training itinerary released by the regulator, the state agency will roll out four distinct modules between June 8 and June 12, 2026.

The primary sessions are scheduled to take place physically at the F.K Resort in Nyeri, with one dedicated virtual session structured to accommodate remote participants.

The capacity-building drive begins with a two-day regional induction forum tailored specifically for construction workers and site supervisors, running from June 8 to June 9.

This initial program operates free of charge, running from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm daily, and offers attending professionals 10 Continuous Professional Development (CPD) points, which are necessary for maintaining active registration status.

On June 10, the focus shifts toward environmental regulatory alignment with a specialized forum titled Green and Sustainable Construction.

This module targets all registered contractors and active safety officers, though it carries an attendance fee of KES 5,000.

Participants in the sustainability program will earn 10 CPD points upon completion of the full-day schedule.

Concurrently, the authority will host a digital outreach program on June 10.

This specific session is an Online Project Supervision and OHS Webinar, which focuses heavily on Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) systems.

The digital seminar is free to access via the Zoom video conferencing platform, runs from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm, and provides another avenue for site supervisors to secure 10 CPD points.

The final block of the training schedule features an induction training program for site supervisors and workers, stretching from June 11 to June 12 at the same Nyeri venue.

Like the opening session, this two-day event is free for valid industry practitioners.

The structured training rollout comes amid heightened scrutiny over site management protocols, structural integrity, and environmental sustainability practices within the local built environment.

By tying these technical modules directly to the accumulation of CPD points, the regulator forces active compliance from site management personnel who need to renew their annual operating licenses.

Registration links have been deployed through the official government portal, allowing local firms to register their staff ahead of the Monday morning sessions.
